Here we are.
I'm about to share a lot, so don't be shy.
I asked for a bucket of transparent paint with which to coat the black box
of my creative process. All I got was this stylist website template.

Sponsor / hold space for a performance of this site specific solo musical at Bartram's Gardens. I am so excited to present my first one-troll-show, a comic opera of sorts. A musical and mischievous conversation about trains, pollution, consumption and how we share this planet. First presented as part of Solow Fest 2017. This performance is appropriate for all ages and available to be booked for groups and fundraisers. More info
Here you can access my theater portfolio including photos and video from past productions, my current theatrical endeavors, as well as the thought experiments and workshop ideas I am currently developing.

"They Extract!" is a full length work of physical theater that explores through a clowning magical-realism how commodification changes the resources that are most precious to us. Oil has been gone and Love™ is extracted as an energy source. The play follows a scientist and father, Vera his daughter, and the Loving Mine she falls for.
"Junk Redemption" is the story of a cosmopolitan, Black art dealer "discovering" a reclusive, White "outsider" artist. This is a play that asks about power dynamics between self-identified outsiders, ghosts, and the purpose of art.
A solo musical about whiteness through the lens at my particular intersection of identities.

I think that hills are very exciting! Gravity functions differently on hills making bodies move in strange and disorienting ways that suggest thought provoking physical metaphors. I would like to explore how to use hills to talk about bias and micro aggression. I would like to explore how to use hills to talk about other things too. I would like to explore how this metaphor changes during different seasons - with different surfaces: grass, leaves, snow, mud.
Often at my concerts I encourage note taking. These songs are certainly lyric-driven and I know that you will get the most out of them if you listen carefully to the words. I made most of these recordings alone with my guitar in my parents' basement. I am no instrumental virtuoso nor am I by any stretch an excellent audio engineer. If you feel compelled to help me and my music let me know. Similarly, if you have a piece of music that wants words and you would like me to take a stab at it, I certainly invite that.
